Farmer Awareness Programme and live streaming of Launching the PMDDKY by Hon’ble Prime Minister organized at ICAR-KVK Santhanpara Date: 11 October 2025 Venue: ICAR – Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Santhanpara, Idukki Opening new avenues for productive farming, a Farmer Awareness and Training Programme was organized at ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Santhanpara, Idukki on 11th October 2025. The event was conducted as part of the “Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY)”, a national initiative launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the welfare and empowerment of farmers across the country. As part of the programme, a Farmer Felicitation Session was held to honour progressive farmers from the district who have achieved remarkable success in agriculture. The training programme was chaired by Shri Ajeesh Kumar, South District Secretary, Krishi Morcha. The primary objective of the programme was to enhance the technical knowledge and practical skills of farmers, thereby motivating them towards sustainable agricultural development. Shri Suresh Babu, Mandalam President, Krishi Morcha, and Shri Vanaraj Fancy, Mandalam Secretary, Krishi Morcha, conveyed their felicitations to the participants. The technical session was led by Smt. Manju Jincy Varghese, Soil Conservation Specialist, who delivered an insightful lecture on modern scientific technologies in agriculture, the significance of natural farming, methods to improve crop quality and approaches for developing value-added products. At the conclusion of the programme, participating farmers expressed their commitment to adopting scientific and sustainable farming practices to enhance productivity and profitability. Organized under the leadership of ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Santhanpara, the event served as a source of inspiration for farmers to move towards innovative and sustainable farming systems.
