17th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting of ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, BSS, Idukki was held on 12th March, 2024 at KVK, Seminar Hall, Santhanpara. The meeting was presided over by Ms. Reena Chacko, Chairperson, Bapooji Sevak Samaj. Dr. B. T. Rayudu, Nodal Officer, ATARI inaugurated the programme and gave critical remarks. Action Taken Report on the recommendations of 16th SAC and salient achievements as well as progress of KVK activities were presented by Dr. Marimuthu, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Idukki. Dr. Jayalakshmi, Programme Coordinator, Kottayam attended on behalf of DE, KAU and provided her valuable suggestions. Dr. Radhakrishnan, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Calicut offered special remarks. Scientists & officials from ICRI, Spices Board, Coffee Board, KVIC, DIC, PAO, ATMA, DAIRY department, Animal Husbandry department, Akashavani, Kudumbasree, VFPCK, Fisheries department and Progressive farmers participated in the meeting. During the interactive session the officials highlighted different problems and suggested thrust areas for the formulation of action plan 2024-25.
